District Playoffs for the Longhorns The Thunder Ridge Longhorns, coached by Joel Struckhoff, Blane Hrabe, and Dillon Coomes, are in the playoffs for the first time since 2012, when they achieved State Runner-Up status. Eagle radio out of Hays, 101.9 the Bull, will be radio broadcasting this Thunder Ridge vs. Dighton playoff game Thursday night, October 25th. Kickoff starts at 6:00pm in Dighton. hunder Ridge Schools Thunder Ridge High School celebrated Spirit Week the last week of September. Festivities kicked off with the cheerleaders and dance team painting the town business windows on the afternoon of Sunday, September 23. High school students then met to decorate the halls. At the Homecoming ceremony Friday night, September 28, Landon Gering was named King and Mariah Stauffer was named Queen. Brice Hendryx, son of Otis and Kelly Hendryx, Elizabeth Hardacre, daughter of Bruce and Amber Hardacre, Layne Pettijohn, daughter of Darrell and Tammy Pettijohn, and Brandon Grauerholz, son of Darren and Nicki Grauerholz, were also candidates.
