Future Sapphire Dance Camp

Thursday, July 26th, from 8am to noon the Sapphire dance team will host a Future Sapphire Dance Camp. Fee of $20 includes a t-shirt. Shirts must be ordered by the 23rd. Contact Tina Dennis or any dancer to register. Return forms to the high school office, Tina or any Sapphire dancer. You can also fill out papers on the 26th. The little girls will perform at Old Fashioned Saturday Night in August.

School Shopping

School will be starting sooner than we know. School supply lists have been mailed out to all student addresses and can also be found on the Thunder Ridge Schools website: www.usd110.net. Even if you no longer have school age children, please consider purchasing some supplies to donate to our schools. School supplies can be dropped off at any of the school offices or at the Kensington Community/School Library. Your donations would be greatly appreciated.

Library Ice Cream Social

The annual Ice Cream Social at the Kensington Community/School Library is scheduled for Monday, July 30 from 6:30-8:00pm. The deleted & used books for will be set out for sale starting July 23 through Aug. 3rd. Please feel free to donate books, especially outgrown children’s books, for this book sale. Deliver your donations to the library by Saturday, July 21, so they can be added to our sale tables. Come join us for homemade ice cream and good company Monday evening, July 30th from 6:30-8:00pm.

United Church News

Regular church service will not be held this Sunday, July 22 at the United Church in Kensington. Instead, please join us for the “Cowboy” Church Service held at the fairgrounds in Smith Center starting at 10:30am under the covered arena. The Smith County Free fair runs July 19-July 23. Many of our community youth are involved, so please take time to come visit and see their projects.

American Legion

Friday Night Menu, July 20th, serving from 6:00-8:30pm.

This week at the American Legion we will be celebrating Karen Pollock's 80th birthday! Please come out and tell her "hi" and eat supper with us. Please, no gifts but cards are welcomed! We will be serving smoked pork chops, party potatoes, green beans, and a dinner roll. The cold plate special will be a BLT sandwich, macaroni salad, and cantaloupe. We'd love to reserve your table or fix your supper to go so call us at 785-476-3204. Please join us for a delightful evening.
