OLD BUSINESS

Fall Festival Craft Fair went VERY WELL.  Positive reports from vendors and seemed to have a lot of people in the craft fair as well as attending Veteran’s Day festivities who may have never been before.  Kim reported it worked ok to do her part in the bar side of the Legion. We felt it was an overall successful weekend! Don will report back after the legion meeting.   This year we should have broke even. Next year we will make some changes!

Old Fashioned Christmas scheduled for Sunday, December 1 from 5-7pm in the legion.   Santa will be in attendance at 6pm for photos. We will have a photographer and a backdrop set up.  Ashley and Melissa will work on decorations. Food has been ordered from the store - including Wisconsin Cheddar and Chili soup with cinnamon rolls and relish.  Paper products will also be purchased from the store. November 4, the Thunder Ridge KAYS attended the Regional Conference in Logan. The club received the Gold Award, recognizing their student leadership and service to their school, community, nation and world for the 2018-19 school year.

The Kansas Association for Youth is a character-building, leadership training program directed by the Kansas High School Activities Association. The nationally acclaimed organization provides students an opportunity to learn to assume their citizenship responsibilities and to enrich their personalities through well organized programs. These programs emphasize four areas of service: school, community, nation, and world.

The theme for the 2019 Regional Conference was "Superfantastic Heroes"! These conferences inspire delegates to return to their clubs to challenge their local members by bringing back new and fun ideas.
