7th Annual NPL Art Show at Osborne

The NPL Art Show, featuring works by Thunder Ridge High School students, opened for viewing at the Osborne Public Library on Tuesday March 3. This exhibit runs through March 24, 2020. Categories for the art show are: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Ink, Sculpture, Ceramics, Jewelry, Graphic Design, Pastel, Oil Pastel, Mixed Media, Graphite, Printmaking and Colored Pencil.  Area schools represented in this exhibit are: Chase, Glasco, Lakeside-Downs, Lincoln, Miltonvale, Osborne, Pike Valley-Scandia, Rock Hills-Mankato, Tescott, Thunder Ridge-Kensington, Sylvan and Wilson. Judging this year’s show will be by Tammy Dreiling from Hays, Ks.

An awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m. This exhibit is free and open to the public during the Osborne Public Library hours.  For more information call Barbara Carlin at Osborne High School, 785-346-2143.


TR Basketball Season Comes to an End

The Lady Longhorns had a tremendous basketball season that sadly came to an end Friday night, March 6, with their first and only loss to Otis-Bison in the first round of Sub-State. Family and friends helped recognize Senior Brennan Kirchhoff in celebrating her achievement of 1,000 high school career points. Congrats on a great season ladies.

Kensington Library

The library will provide limited hours during the USD 110 Spring Break, March 16-20. We will be open Monday from 2-7pm, Wednesday from 9am-2pm, Friday and Saturday also 9am-2pm; closed Tuesday and Thursday. Stop in to view the beautiful quilts on display through the whole month of March. These beautiful works provided by many talented local ladies.


Mat Makers Will Meet

Mat makers met March 7 and had 12 people come and support the project. Several more mats for the homeless got worked on and will be delivered later this month.

They will meet again the last Saturday of the month, March 28, from 9- noon, at St John Lutheran Church. Everyone welcome!


Kensington Senior-Community Center

Hand and Foot this Thursday the 12th at 1:00pm. Our March potluck is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00pm. Hope to see you there.
