School Supplies Needed

The Kensington Library is happy to serve as a drop-off location for any school supplies donated for children in the USD 110 school district. We have the 2019-2020 supply lists printed for anyone who needs one. We will make sure all donated supplies reach the Thunder Ridge classrooms for the new school year. Thank you for considering, your help is greatly appreciated. 

Also, plan to join us Monday evening, August 5th, at 7:00pm to learn more about Hoopla! This cool new app allows access to ebooks, audios, music and more. Come see what all the “hoopla” is about. 

Back to School Blessings

Sunday August 11th the United Church in Kensington will hold a brunch at 9:45am, Sunday school at 9:15, and worship with blessings of backpacks, students and staff at 10:25. Please plan to join us for this special day. Also mark your calendars for the 50th Anniversary celebration of the United Church on Sunday, September 1st. We encourage members of past and present as well as former pastors to join us for this special occasion.

Enrollment for USD 110

USD 110 Thunder Ridge registration is Monday, August 5th, from 9am-3pm for Pre-K, K-3rd and 4-8th, Juniors and Seniors; and Tuesday, Aug 6th, from 9am-3pm for Freshmen and Sophomores.  *School starts Thursday, August 15th.

TR Preschool Screening

USD 110 will offer preschool screening on August 14, 2019 from 8:30-11:00am.

Thunder Ridge PRE-KINDERGARTEN teaches the needed academic skills your 3 and 4 year old will need to be kindergarten ready. It is an early intervention program that capitalizes on your child’s strengths to improve any weaknesses. All 4 year olds can enroll, 3 year olds that have gone through a screening and qualify to attend, can enroll. This screening is used to discover your child’s strengths as well as areas of concern. SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AS WELL, FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY, INCLUDING ACADEMICS, SPEECH/LANGUAGE, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, AND PHYSICAL THERAPY.

Food Pantry

The Kensington Food Pantry serves the Thunder Ridge School District area the 3rd Saturday of each month. This month the pantry will be open August 17th from 1:00-3:00pm at the Kensington Community Center. Contact 785-476-2278 with any questions.
