Community Vacation Bible School
This year's Vacation Bible School will be May 29 through June 1st, and the theme will be "Big Heart Farms, Where God's Fruit Grows!" It focuses on Galatians 5:16-26 which covers the Fruit of the Spirit. The lessons have five focuses: the spirit, the flesh, the law, the kingdom, and the cross. Each day the students will learn how to grow big for God. When seeds are planted in good soil, they sprout into large, healthy plants that produce good fruit. When your "sprouts" attend Bible School, they will receive God's seeds (His word) causing their faith to sprout further and grow strong, bearing much spiritual fruit!
Children attend according to the grade they WERE in this year. Preschool and kindergarten will be at First St. John. First, second, and third graders will attend the United Church, and kids leaving 4-6th grade will meet at the North Lutheran church. Times will be from 9-11:30am, Tuesday-Friday. A final program will be held at the north St. John Lutheran Church on Friday at 11:00. The community is welcome to attend!
Offerings will be collected each day and given to a chosen charity. Pre-registration is NOT necessary so please plan on sending your kids, or grandkids if visiting for the summer, to VBS!!
