Alumni Enjoyed Annual Banquet

The annual KHS and Thunder Ridge Alumni banquet was held Saturday, May 26th. Approximately 130 were in attendance and enjoyed the evening reminiscing.

City Garage Sales June 9th

Kensington City-wide garage sales will be held on Saturday, June 9th. Visit local businesses including Farmers National Bank, Corner Corral and Kensington Community Store for maps of sale locations.

Kensington Swimming Pool Info

The pool is open daily from 1:30pm to 7:00pm, weather permitting. If the temperature is too low or weather is threatening, updates will be posted to the pool facebook page.

Mommy and Me classes info: Session 1 will begin on June 4th through the 8th from 11:00-11:30am. Sign up at the pool. Also, swimming lessons will begin June 11. Contact Manager Amy for more info.

Water Fitness info: sessions began on Tuesday May 29 and will run through August 7th, every Tuesday and Sunday from 7:00-8:00pm. Sundays will be aerobics and Tuesday will rotate water aerobics and dance. Contact Bert Reinking at 785-282-0896 or Staci Foreman at 785-476-5066 for more information.

Kensington Library News

Summer library hours are: Monday 2-8pm; Tuesday through Saturday 9am-2pm. Our reading program theme this summer is “Libraries Rock!” Grades pre-K to 2nd grade will come on Tuesdays from 1-2pm and grades 3rd to 5th on Thursdays from 1-2pm. Grades are according to the recent 17-18 school year. These programs began this first week of June and continue through July 10th. American Legion Menu

Serving from 6:00-8:30pm, the special this Friday night (June 8th) at the American Legion will be chicken-n-dumplings, coleslaw, and mixed fruit. For dessert we're making rhubarb crisp. If you're not interested in rhubarb, we do have vanilla ice cream and I'm sure we can find some chocolate syrup for the topping. We'd love to hear from you, 785.476.3204, to reserve a table or to let us fix your supper to go. Hope to see you Friday evening!
