News for 5/14/25 SUMMER KICKOFF!!!

Summer Kickoff!!!

Join us in Kensington for Summer Kickoff on Saturday, June 7. From 3:30-6:00pm is Family Free Swim at the Kensington Pool. From 5-8pm checkout the Car Cruise; sit and watch or “drag main” with us! BBQ Parfaits will be sold inside the legion, sit and eat or head outside to enjoy as the cars go by. Starting at 8:00pm will be Trivia Mania, found in the legion hall. Register at the door for $5/person. Teams of up to 6 people allowed. Concessions will be available. Come join the fun, grab some food, test your smarts -you might even win a prize! Kensington is the place to be, Saturday, June 7th.

Get on the Garage Sales Map!

It’s time to start spring cleaning!  City-wide garage sales are June 14th. Turn those treasures into moolah! Sign up to have your garage/yard sale shown on the maps that will be available for the shoppers thanks to the Commercial Club. Must sign up by June 6! Alumni Banquet

If you have not already RSVP’d, please do so now! The Class of 2005 requests your attendance at the Annual Alumni Banquet on Saturday, May 24. If you wish to RSVP please contact the Class of 2005 representative Leah Wiehl at 913-549-2516. *Make your reservations by May 16th! Banquet price is $25 per person and payment can be mailed to: Kensington Alumni P.O. Box 72 Kensington, KS 66951. Tour the HS halls from 4-5:30pm before heading over to the American Legion hall for social hour starting at 5:30pm.

Summer Reading starts Tuesday, May 20! The 2025 theme is “Color Our World!”

Please text 785-476-8185, email Mrs. Barnes at ebarnes@usd110.net or find the link to enroll on our Facebook page. Session will be Pre-K (3 and 4 year old with parent) to 1st grade at 10:30am and 2nd-5th grade ages at 12:30pm. We will also have some adult/teenage dates so please stay tuned!
