What a PARTY in the USA!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make OFSN such a success! Thank you to our volunteers, everyone who attended and celebrated with us, our vendors and many more!  And just when the party ended... we even managed to bring the rain! Thank you for supporting OFSN and helping create such a fun and memorable evening.

Shop Local

Our town owned store needs your support. If you don’t shop here first, if you don’t step foot in your Kensington owned grocery store once a week, you are not helping to keep the doors open. We have the daily sales totals posted right by the entrance to make everyone aware of our daily income struggles. Please take a minute to stop and look. Many days, the income does not cut it to cover the cost of operation. It is awfully difficult to make purchases, order new items, and pay our employees plus the bills when you don’t shop here. We would love to add new items and offer more options, but we need your business to be able to do so. Also, we are currently short on staff, so please grant patience and grace as we are in a period of transition. We are here to serve this community, but need your patronage and encouragement too!

School is Back in Session!

Welcome back Longhorns! This year, a 4 day/week calendar will be implemented running Monday through Thursday. However, we will have school on a Friday when a holiday falls on a Monday, or to make up snow days. NO school on Labor Day, September 7, so school is in session on Friday, September 11, 2026. The school day hours are now 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Kensington Library

With school back in session, we want to remind everyone that we follow the USD 110 policy for closures in cases of bad weather and holidays, unless posted otherwise.

With the 4 day school week now being implemented, we will be open 8am-7pm on Mondays, 8am-4pm Tuesday through Thursday, 9am-2pm Friday and Saturday.

American Legion in Kensington

*Friday nights become Saturday nights on August 22! Great food and fellowship while supporting a GREAT VETERANS ORGANIZATION!

Starting this Saturday, August 22, we will be open and serving on Saturday night instead of Fridays. Same time: 6:00PM - 8:00 PM; same menu. Plus, a weekly special and Chris’ specialty burgers!
