Thunder Ridge Happenings

Senator Jerry Moran paid a visit to our TR High School on Monday, August 17. Our Senior Leadership team proudly gave him a tour of our school and showcased what makes Thunder Ridge special. Senator Moran took time to thank each teacher for their dedication to education and the positive impact they make every day.

Thursday evening, August 20, the KAY orientation held a membership drive/Cornhole tournament to kick-off the new school year. 

Sunday, August 23, TRHS athletes assisted the TR Steering Committee at the Back to School Bash. A delicious meal was served, Longhorn apparel was offered for purchase, and booster membership encouraged. Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, donated food items and volunteered the time to make this event possible. Wishing all TR staff, students, and families a terrific year!

KCS New Hours 

Due to staffing shortages, beginning Monday, August 24, 2026, our modified hours of operation will be: 11 AM - 7 PM TUESDAY through SATURDAY. We will be CLOSED Sunday and Monday. These times are subject to change with staff availability.

American Legion in Kensington

As of Saturday, August 22, we are now open and serving on Saturday nights instead of Fridays. Same time: 6:00PM - 8:00 PM; same menu. Plus, a weekly special. We have had 3 consecutive weeks of serving well over 100 meals a night. We appreciate your support!

40th Anniversary Celebration 

Beth and Kent (Joe) Burns are celebrating 40 years! Anniversary reception this Sunday, 8-30-26, from 2-4:00 pm, at Kensington Senior Center. 

Joe and Beth wish to celebrate their 40th Anniversary, with the loving support of family,  friends,  and community. They request no gifts. Your presence is gift enough.
