Kindergarten Round-up 

Wanted: Incoming kindergarten students for the 2026-27 school year. Must be 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2026. Join us on Friday, April 10th, at Thunder Ridge Elementary, Kensington. Please call 785-476-3241 by March 23 to reserve your child's spot.

Easter Eggs Needed

The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be April 4, 2026 at 1pm. If any businesses or individuals would like to donate filled eggs, please leave them at Kensington Community Store by NOON on April 3. Thank you for your contribution to make this event possible for the kids!

Shop Local!

KCS is now offering lunch (ready-to-go!) every Monday and Thursday.  Meals remaining after 1pm will be available in the deli case to purchase and heat up at home for supper. Please shop local for the items you can before leaving town. We need your support to keep the doors open.

Thunder Ridge kindergarten roundup will be Friday, April 10th. Please contact the elementary school office to register your child if they turn 5 years old before August 31. Please call 785-476-3241 by March 23 to reserve your child's spot.

Mon. 23- MS Track Practices begin

Tue. 24- FFA Livestock Contest @ SC

Fri. 27- TR Carnival: 5:30pm Walking Tacos in MS Cafeteria, 6:30pm Games in MS gym

Tue. 31- Sophomore Biology trip to CCCC 

American Legion in Kensington

Open Friday nights, serving from 6-8pm. Orders can be called in at 785-476-3204. 

VA Town Hall & Health Fair on Saturday, March 28, 2026. 

WHEN: March 28; Breakfast from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (free will donation). Informational Meeting: 10 AM to 1:00 PM (stay for updates or come and go for benefits counseling and community resources). This public event is hosted by Smith County Memorial Hospital & Smith County Family Practice.

LAST Saturday of the month meal. March 28: serving a special Cook’s Choice meal from 6-8pm. Menu items will not be available.
