Olivia Whitney finishes her "Blessings" wreath

Thunder Ridge Elementary students made fall wreaths for the residents of the two nursing homes in  Smith Center. This is in conjunction with the KAY high school members. The KAY high school students make their crafts at their meeting. Then the elementary students each make one to ensure there's enough for all the residents to enjoy.

Friday Night at the Legion

Every Friday we serve a special for $11, dessert for $3, and a salad or soup of the night.

Open from 6-8pm, we offer dine-in or carry-out meals.  Our kitchen operates mostly off of volunteer help and one paid waitress, so some nights we may be short on help. Also, many times we have a packed house! So please be patient with us as we serve you. You can always call in at 476-3204, and wait times may vary.

Kensington Library

We the People….. Do you know the Constitution of the United States by heart? September 17-23 is Constitution Week. This annual observance commemorates the 1787 adoption of the U.S. Constitution and encourages citizens to reflect on its significance and the liberties it provides. The celebration was established by the Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR) and became public law in 1956, with yearly proclamations issued by the President. We still have bookmarks for anyone who would like one; donated to us by a local DAR member to distribute.

Reminder that we offer digital resources such as Hoopla, LibbyApp and also CloudLibrary, which is through the State of Kansas. All you need for Hoopla and Libby is your Kensington account number, so come see us and we can get you set up!

With USD 110 back in session, we are now open Monday 8am-7pm, Tuesday through Thursday 8am-4pm, and Friday will be 8am-3pm with the 2:30 early dismissal. Saturday is 9am-2pm as usual.

Baby Announcement!

Carolyn Billings is a great grandma for the second time in the last six weeks. This would make Greg and Robin Billings proud grandparents again too! Tyrel and Randi Billings had a baby boy. Born 9-10-25, weighing 6# 8oz, they named him Kye Alan.  This makes them a family of four:  Tyrel, Randi, Koy & Kye!
