October Is…

To many, October means the official start of fall. Pumpkin flavored everything, warm sweaters, farmers in harvest or planting, football season in full swing, leaves are turning and beginning to drop, the kids look forward to wearing costumes and celebrating Halloween. Yet October is much, much more. This month we recognize many important people and organizations. October is: Breast Cancer Awareness Month, National Spina Bifida Awareness Month, National Bullying Prevention Month, 4-H Month, and Pastor Appreciation Month just to name a few. Keep these in mind as we proceed through the month; show due respect and appreciation when possible.
