Thanksgiving Praise Service at United Church

Aren't we thankful we live in the United States of America, where we are free to worship God? There is a song called "Back to God" and that is the theme of our Community Thanksgiving Praise Service. The service will be held at the United Church in Kensington this Sunday the 19th of Nov. at 7 pm. Several area churches are bringing musical and patriotic specials. It promises to be a very uplifting and grateful program. Please consider this your invitation to join us this Sunday, November 19th, at 7pm.

Kensington Library News

The Scholastic Book Fair was here and many, happy children went home with new books! Each Fall, we hold the Scholastic Book Fair in November with a special Family Event during the Veterans’ Day Celebration in Kensington. Many families stopped to shop before and after the parade. For this Family Event, we gave away a FREE book with each purchase of $20 and over. The Thunder Ridge Elementary classrooms also received many new books for all the kids to read. We appreciate all the families who purchased from the Teacher’s Wish Lists to donate to the classrooms.

Weekly Inspiration

Being honest is better than appearing to be perfect because one is real and one is just an illusion.

Only trust someone who can see these three things in you: The sorrow behind your smile, the love behind your anger, and the reason behind your silence.

Don't be a beggar of love, be a donor of love, beautiful people are not always good, but good people are always beautiful.
