Thunder Ridge School News

TRHS Play:

Thunder Ridge High School will be having their High School Play this Saturday, February 24th at 7:00 pm, and Sunday February 25th at 5:00 pm at the TR Middle School Auditorium in Agra. This year they will perform ”Switching Principals” by Pat Cook, produced by Pioneer Drama Service.

Play synopsis: School spirit has never been lower; when a new principal is scheduled to arrive everyone is hoping for a breath of fresh air. What blows in however are George and Madge, con artists who slipped in through an open window while hiding from the law. In a hilarious case of mistaken identity vice Principal Abigail figures George for the new principal. Laying low after a car wreck our con artist makes the most of their situation at Marvin Gardens High School, while the real new principal is laid up at the hospital with minor injuries from; you guessed it, being involved in the same car wreck. This gives George and Madge a chance to dodge, and double talk their way through the overactive students, a suspicious security guard, and the pushy school board. But somewhere along the way, George feels good about helping people. His cold prickly conman qualities soften into warm fuzzies as he finds himself falling under the spell of the school’s spirit, much to the disgust of Madge.

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light. - ARISTOTLE

You never know what people are going through, and sometimes the people with the biggest smiles are struggling the most, so be kind.

People change for two main reasons: either their minds have been opened, or their hearts have been broken.
