Thunder Ridge KAY End of Year Banquet Celebration

April 27 was the night of the Thunder Ridge KAY celebration. It’s a night of highlighting the club’s achievements throughout the school year. Thunder Ridge is proud of each of its members and all the service that they provide to the school, community, nation, and world. The club had projects that fulfilled all of these areas, from concessions, to collecting food for the food pantry, to hosting blood drives, to collecting clothing to be donated globally.

A catered meal was enjoyed by Genes grocery store. Entertainment was a fun group of students from Smith Center’s forensic club. Next was a slideshow that shared pictures of the group’s activities. Students were then  recognized for their participation in the club. Every activity that the students do within the year is worth points so high point learners were recognized with a certificate. KAY is all about creating strong leaders that willingly serve and give of themselves.

Following the awards, students gave a style show for the guests. It was a wonderful evening attended by 113 people.
