KAY Clothing and Shoe Drive

The KAY’s drive was a huge success! People were so generous! The club collected 1,975 items of clothing and 125 pair of shoes. The club had to find an alternate organization to donate their collected items due to shipping not being free anymore. The nearest drop off collection spot for Soles4Souls was in Colorado.

After the KAY sponsor, Robin Billings, did some research, the organization Global Green Clothing was found to be a wonderful option. Their goal is to keep clothing out of landfills and distribute donated items globally to those in need. Global Green Clothing, located in Lincoln, NE, agreed to meet in Kearney to pick up the donated items with their truck.

The KAYS are appreciative for the support from the community that made their world service project such a success!

Tate Foreman, Daniel Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Konner Wagenblast, Brillon McDowell, Aadyn Blank, Shiloh Corbett, Tristen Taylor, and Robin Billings loaded Greg’s trailer with 80 boxes of clothes and shoes.

Gracie Rice, Michael Ferguson, and Isaiah Coomes are three of the many KAYS who helped sort clothing and pack boxes.
