TRES Students Learning to Live Generously
The past few years the Thunder Ridge Elementary students have made a Christmas gift for the residents of Sunporch and Smith Center Health and Rehab. This year they made a New Years gift. They chose to make a cardinal picture from their hand print and include the cardinal legend: When God sends a cardinal, a visitor from heaven is near. The kids hope it brightens the residents’ days! The picture was put in a stand alone frame to be displayed in the residents’ rooms. They made 90 gifts using Thrivent Action Team money to purchase the frames. The kids love their Thrivent shirts they get each year as well.

Legion Friday Night
Come out this Friday evening to the Kensington American Legion for supper! We will have meatballs, cheesy potatoes, Ramen slaw, bread and dessert. Our soup will be chili and white chicken chili. We will have our regular menu items as well and our kitchen is open from 6-8pm. You can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up. Hope to see you Friday!
Support our American Legion
Mark your calendar for Jan 22nd and eat lunch at the legion. We are having a soup/dessert fundraiser. We had a pipe break over the cold snap that we had and our refrigerator went out at the same time. So we are needing to pay for a newer refrigerator and floor mats for the kitchen. We appreciate your support!
