Veterans & Active Military Meal

To all Smith & Phillips County service members: come out and spend an evening with some of your fellow comrades who have served and are presently serving in the armed forces. Enjoy the conversations and great food at the Kensington American Legion on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 from 6-10pm. The meal is free for all service members and the bar will be open to purchase drinks. All veterans, active military and their families are invited!

The K-Town Kates began their annual Christmas Party at the Rusty Tractor in Kensington at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022. After a delicious meal and good conversation, the 13 members and 6 guests traveled to the Community Center to enjoy Christmas punch and cookies provided by the hostesses Barb, Janet, and JoAnn. Everyone shared their most memorable Christmas gift from their childhood, played a memory game, then participated in the grab bag exchange. Meeting booklets for 2023 made by Deb L. were distributed. The evening was a good way to start the holiday celebrations.

The next meeting will be Monday, January 9, 2023. The additional workers for the January 21, 2023 food pantry will be Loretta and Janet.
