Home Foundation Grants Awarded
Through the generosity of donors we have reached our endowment funding goal enabling $10,000 in annual grants going forward. Thanks to all who helped in making this vision a reality. Since 2015 the Kensington Home Charitable Foundation has distributed nearly $25,000 towards local civic projects.
We are pleased to announce the fall 2022 grant recipients. The city of Kensington for mulch funding at the new playground at the roadside park. The Kensington Recreation Commission towards new speakers at the football stadium. Sons of the American Legion towards funding the Veteran's Day beef/bean feed. Kensington Commercial Club for the meal during the Christmas lighting ceremony and decorations. Kensington Senior Center for purchase of additional seating. The Kensington Community Store towards the purchase of new signage. In total $5,000 was awarded this fall.
Donations can be made at Farmers National Bank in Kensington or by online at https://www.kensingtonks.net/home-foundation
