Veteran’s Day Parade

The annual Veteran’s Day Celebration in Kensington is Saturday, November 13, 2021. The theme for this years’ parade is “We Don’t Know Them All, But We Owe Them All”. To pay tribute to those who have fought for our freedom, we invite you to prepare an entry and participate in our parade. The parade festivities will begin at 11:00am with the guest speaker, and the parade will start promptly at 11:15am. Prizes will be awarded for the first 3 places in each of 5 categories: churches, schools, organizations, businesses, and miscellaneous. Pre-registration is appreciated. If you did not receive an entry form in the mail and would like to register, please contact Judy or Alan Bates, 785-476-5334 or 5191.

TRHS KAY Projects

Thursday, November 4, the American Red Cross will be at the High School gym for a blood drive. Sign up at the TRHS office, the online portal at RedCrossBlood.org, or email kboden@usd110.net. Slots are available between 9am to 3pm.

The KAYS went door-to-door this past Sunday, October 24th, for Trick-or-Treat So Others Can Eat. This project is an effort each year to help stock the food pantry for the holidays. The food pantry serves all of our Thunder Ridge Schools communities. Thank you to the community members who donated items and the students who donated their time!
