KAYS Held Annual Winter Jam

This past Saturday, November 16, the TR high school KAYS spent the afternoon helping 13 kids learn how to be a superhero while having a blast doing it. They talked to the kids about how a hero can be anyone willing to help others, and that even they too could be a hero to someone.

The kids made Christmas cards to be taken to the veterans home in Kearney. They also made a snow globe craft to be taken to the assistive living in Smith Center. They also designed their own super hero cape and then the games and beauty treatments began! Girls got their nails painted and hair curled. Then everyone joined super hero forces and had scooter races and saved each other in a game of “shark” with the giant parachute.

The KAYS members are heroes in their own right. They gave of their time and made someone’s day a little bit brighter! Good job, kids!!
