News for 12/23/2020 MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
TR Elementary Kids Show Kindness
Thunder Ridge Elementary students made Christmas ornaments for the residents of Smith Center Health and Rehab. Each month the students learn about a different character trait. This month was kindness so they decided to show kindness to those who needed a bit of cheer this Christmas. 45 ornaments were made and delivered to the residents to brighten their Christmas trees. A similar project was done last year. This is a tradition the kids would like to continue. They believe that kindness is so important!

Beloved Teacher Retires
Friday, December 18, was Mrs. Dixie Hesterman’s last day of teaching second grade for Thunder Ridge Elementary after a lifetime of working with children. Dixie has been a positive influence to countless children at the school. Her years of dedication are greatly appreciated by her fellow teachers, students, and parents who have felt blessed to teach and work with. Her presence will be greatly missed by those who saw her each day. Her love of children showed each day. A small reception was held last Friday to wish her well on her new chapter in her life.
