Holiday Break Hours: CLOSED December 25, 26 and January 1st; Monday 30th open 2-7pm; 9am-2pm all other days.
We have a new StoryWalk for the month of December. Come enjoy a walk around the library and read “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss with your family. Come inside and check out some Christmas stories to take home too.
Legion Friday Night
Serving the regular menu items every Friday from 6-8pm and a special for $11. Call ahead your to–go orders at 785-476-3204. We hope to see you Friday night! Also, open Sunday nights from 6-8pm offering burger baskets and a featured item. We will be open Friday 27, Sunday 29, and Friday January 3 as usual.

Kensington HOME Foundation News!
Due to the generous support of the community the Kensington Home Foundation board of directors was able to award $18,000 of grants in 2024! Since we began dispersing grants in 2015 we have been able to contribute $55,400 to our community. With the completion of our capital campaign and having 6 Legacy grants we will be able to give at least $20,000 annually in the future. We truly are doing GREAT things in Kensington!
2024 projects funded: KHS/Thunder Ridge Alumni association for postage, Legion Auxiliary for uniform updates and kitchen equipment, Spirit Task Force for Memory Garden equipment, Kensington Community Store for light upgrades, Kensington Housing Authority for apartment enhancements, Commercial Club for marketing support. SAL for Veterans Day knives, Kensington Recreation Commission for baseball building updates,
The 3rd annual Arnold & Evelyn Levin Legacy grant was awarded to the Kensington Rural Fire Department for equipment upgrades.

The 2nd annual Pauline Seemann Gardner Legacy Grants were awarded to the Kensington Commercial Club for their Christmas Kickoff event in November and the City of Kensington for security camera installation.
The 2nd annual Fraser Legacy Grant was awarded to 1st St. John Lutheran for replacing gravel with mulch at the PAC playground
The 2nd annual JS & Betty Wagner Legacy grant was awarded to the Kensington Recreation Commission for mower replacement at the football field.
We are also pleased to award our first Ross & Frances Ferguson Legacy Grant to the Kensington American Legion for sign upgrades.
