News for 2/4/2026 Boys BB take Third!

Congrats TRHS Boys! They placed 3rd in the NPL Tournament hosted by Lincoln.

Busy Bees News 

The Busy Bee’s 4-H club met for their monthly meeting on January 25th, in the Saint John Lutheran parish hall.  There were 7 members present.  4-H is selling Valentine’s Day cookies, if you’re interested, please contact a 4-H member. Macy Nix entertained the group with a guitar solo, and Noah Nelson hosted a game.  

The next meeting is February 22nd at 2 p.m. in the parish hall at Saint John Lutheran church.  Please come join us!      

Come out for Pancakes!

Important date to add to your calendar! Our community is blessed to have an active fire department and first responders.  Come show your support THIS Sunday, February 8! Rural Fire Protection District #1 PANCAKE FEED. Free will donations welcome. 

SUNDAY, Feb. 8 2026, 11:00am - 1:00pm at the Kensington American Legion. Serving pancakes, sausage, and eggs. Proceeds to benefit the equipment fund.

TRHS Mini Cheer Camp 2026

This Wednesday the 28th is the last day to sign up! Camp is Saturday, February 7th, from 10:00am-Noon in the High School Gym. Grades PreK-6th are invited! The girls will perform at the February 17th home game during varsity boys halftime.

Murder Mystery Masquerade

Must RSVP & prepay by February 5! To reserve your spot, message the Kensington Commercial/Community Club Facebook page, or contact: Brooke: 785-476-6191, Staci: 785-476-5066. $50 per person for dinner plus the show.

Think you can solve the crime? Saturday, February 14, at the Kensington American Legion. 6:00 PM cocktails, 7:00 PM dinner & show to follow.

WHEN: March 28, BREAKFAST from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (free will donation); 10 AM to 1:00 PM (stay for updates or come and go for benefits counseling and community resources). This public event is hosted by Smith County Memorial Hospital & Smith County Family Practice.
