No Valentine’s Dinner
Please note: there will not be a Valentine’s Dinner organized by the SALs at the American Legion in Kensington this year.
The Kensington American Legion this week will have a special of country style BBQ ribs, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and dessert. We will have our regular menu items as well. Some of our other features are 1/2 and whole hot beef sands and loaded nachos. Our kitchen is open from 6-8pm and you can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up. Hope to see you Friday evening!
Do you enjoy cooking and feeding others? The Legion is looking for a kitchen manager. It’s a part-time position and we serve food Friday evenings. Call Tom James at 785-476-5754 or Kim Terrell at 785-656-2276 for more information.
Audrey Lee (Field) Gibson, age 95, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at SunPorch of Smith County in Smith Center, KS. She was a teacher in Smith Center for many years and had a great influence on numerous students.
Remember, whatever you are going through right now is temporary. Challenges can’t stop you. People can’t stop you. Time can’t stop you. But, your own negative thoughts can, so stay positive and have faith! Believe in yourself.
