Shop Local!
KCS is now offering a hot meal, lunch ready-to-go!, every Monday and Thursday. Meals remaining after 1pm will be boxed and available cold in the deli case to purchase and reheat at home for supper. Please shop local for the items you can before leaving town. We need your support to keep the doors open.

Easter Eggs Needed
The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be April 4, 2026 at 1pm. If any businesses or individuals would like to donate filled eggs, please leave them at Kensington Community Store by NOON on April 3. Thank you for your contribution to make this event possible for the kids!
Mr. TR Pageant
Thunder Ridge KAY is putting on another “Mr. TR” on March 13. It will be at 6:30 in the high school gym. The categories the boys will compete in are: dress, interview, and talent. Admission for this fun event is five dollars for high school students and adults. Middle school and elementary students are free. Proceeds will go to the KAY Leadership Camp scholarship fund.

Thunder Ridge kindergarten roundup will be Friday, April 10th. Please contact the elementary school office to register your child if they turn 5 years old before August 31. Please call 785-476-3241 by March 23 to reserve your child's spot.

VA Town Hall & Health Fair on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
WHEN: March 28; Breakfast from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (free will donation); Informational Meeting 10 AM to 1:00 PM (stay for updates or come and go for benefits counseling and community resources). This public event is hosted by Smith County Memorial Hospital & Smith County Family Practice.
Saturday night, Mar. 28, serving a special Cook’s Choice meal from 6-8pm. Menu items will not be available.
