TR School Carnival this Friday!

Not just for kids! Anyone who wants to support our TR schools can come and have fun! Walking Taco meal served in the Middle School cafeteria before the carnival from 5:30-7pm. Carnival games begin in the Middle School gym at 6:30pm. The students are excited to work the game booths and have a great night!

Easter Eggs Needed

The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be April 4, 2026 at 1pm. If any businesses or individuals would like to donate filled eggs, please leave them at Kensington Community Store by NOON on April 3. Thank you for your contribution to make this event possible for the kids!

TR Schedule of Events

Thunder Ridge kindergarten roundup will be Friday, April 10th. Please contact the elementary school office to register your child if they turn 5 years old before August 31. Please call 785-476-3241 to reserve your child's spot.

American Legion in Kensington

Open Friday nights, serving from 6-8pm. Orders can be called in at 785-476-3204. 

VA Town Hall & Health Fair THIS Saturday, March 28, 2026. 

WHEN: March 28; Breakfast from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (free will donation); Informational Meeting: 10 AM to 1:00 PM (stay for updates or come and go for benefits counseling and community resources). This public event is hosted by Smith County Memorial Hospital & Smith County Family Practice.

LAST Saturday of the month meal. March 28: serving a special Cook’s Choice meal from 6-8pm. Menu items will not be available. 

Condolences

Sympathy and prayers for the family and friends of the late Ron Rahjes. He passed away on March 15 at the age of 74. Ron was active and influential in many community groups and served on various business boards. He was a great advocate for rural communities and he will be greatly missed.
