KAY Blood Drive Scheduled

May 26 will be our next local blood drive sponsored by TR KAYS. It will be held at St. John Lutheran Church parish hall in Kensington, from 9:00-3:00.

During this time of quarantine has really negatively affected the number of drives held in our small towns. It’s crucial for everyone who is able to donate blood if at all possible.

Please consider donating as blood supplies are in high demand due to many local drives being canceled. Schedule your appointment online at redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Please note that all donors are required to wear a mask. You may bring your own, or they will provide you with one. Thanks in advance!

Since school is closed, donors need to make their appointments by going to redcrossblood.org. The Red Cross is also making calls asking for donations. Thanks in advance!!

KAYS Thank You!

The past three weeks has been a success as many people and businesses participated in the TR KAY Scavenger Hunt! Several posts and comments were made noting the number of items found each week.  The final week found the Blank family winning as they found the most Longhorns!! Each individual and family that won each week will receive a CC gift card, and the Kensington Food Pantry that serves the entire USD 110 school district will get a monetary donation.

Thanks to everyone who displayed hearts, flags, and Longhorns!! It’s great to see our communities come together and support our KAY activities.

Longhorns were the item to hunt for during the KAY Scavenger Hunt last week. Several Longhorns were spotted and kids had fun going around and counting them!

Wolf Graduates from CCCC

Congratulations to Craig Wolf of Concordia, KS, son of Ron and Marlene Wolf of Kensington. He was supposed to graduate this Friday the 15th of May with an Associate of Applied Science in Renewable Energy from Cloud County Community College. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19, the graduation ceremony will not be held. Craig has been pursuing this degree as a part-time student while being employed full-time with a family at home. Craig’s wife, Amanda, and four children, Annabell, Sadye, Nola, and Albin, are very proud of him!
