VBS Special Program!

Kids have been enjoying the Kensington Community bible school this week. Sessions were held each morning for youth to learn new bible songs and lessons. A special program will be held at 11:00am Friday morning at the United Church for family and friends to attend!

Library Crawl Encourages Community to Explore Area Libraries

Residents and visitors are invited to take part in an exciting Library Crawl, a fun and engaging way to explore libraries across the area while celebrating everything they have to offer.

The Library Crawl will run from June 1 to August 16 and includes 21 participating libraries throughout the Central Kansas Library System, Kensington being one!  At each stop, participants will sign in and answer a scavenger hunt question. Completed entries will be entered into a drawing for a gift card.  Each stop on the crawl offers a unique experience, showcasing the programs, services, and welcoming spaces that make libraries essential community hubs. From books and technology to creative programming and local history resources, there’s something for everyone to discover.

This is a great opportunity for people to visit new libraries or rediscover ones they haven’t been to in a while. 

Summer Reading Program at the Kensington Library

Join us for “Unearth a Story” SLP 2026 running every Tuesday in June!  Littles age 3 through 1st grade @ 10:30am. Big kids grades 2nd-5th @ 12:30pm. We will also be offering extra/optional programs each Wednesday morning in June.
