Samara Bapat was the recipient of a scholarship from the American Red Cross, which was given to a KAY member who had contributed to the blood drives over the years. Thunder Ridge was eligible for the scholarship because it had collected over 50 units of blood in the past year. Each semester the group hosts a blood drive and last summer it held one as well. A special thanks to everyone who donates!
The next KAY blood drive will be on July 8 at Saint John Lutheran Church of Kensington. This is a drive that will have double red donations available as well as regular donations. Please sign up to give online or contact Robin Billings.
