One Nation Program

SUNDAY, JUNE 30, 2024 AT 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

Join us at the Heartland Worship Center 1004 E Highway 36, Agra, KS for the “One Nation Under God” program.

One Nation Under God is all about honoring God and honoring freedom. It is our way of saying thank you to veterans and active service men and women for their effort in securing and protecting our freedom. This event is open for all to attend and is completely free! One Nation Under God takes place at Heartland Worship Center just one mile west of Agra, KS. May God continue to bless our veterans and those who are actively serving to protect our freedom… and may God bless America!

150th Anniversary of First St. John Lutheran

Please plan to attend the 150th anniversary celebration of the founding of First St. John Lutheran church. This event will be held at the Kensington American Legion on July 20th. Doors open at 6:00pm and dinner will be served at 6:30. Mitch Holthus will be the guest speaker as we celebrate this milestone of our congregation. Please join us for Mitch's talk and a catered meal. Kensington Lion Club Donates Solar Eclipse Glasses

Thanks to Kensington Lions Club and Kensington Library Board, the students and faculty at Thunder Ridge schools had solar eclipse glasses to view the eclipse last April.

141 pairs have been collected since the eclipse and will be sent to Astronomers Without Borders. This is an organization that distributes the glasses, free of charge to people around the world who do not have the means to buy glasses and could not view any eclipse without them. Thanks to everyone who donated their glasses back to this great cause.

Legion Friday Night (6/28)

This Friday will be a surprise special! Keep an eye out for Facebook posts later this week. We will have our regular menu items as well. The kitchen is open from 6-8pm. You can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up. Hope to see you Friday!

Library News

Our summer library programs are going great! You kiddos are welcome to join us every Friday through July 12. The Pre-K to age 6 are from 9-10:30am and 1st-5th grades from 11:00-12:00pm. Programs will be held every Friday, for an hour per session, through July 12.

Be sure to stop in and check out the new titles available. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please ask about the inter-library loan service and we can order those items for you.
