Class Reunions
Terry and Jerry Knight hosted a combination class reunion for the graduating classes of 1966 and 1967 from Kensington. Representing the class of 1967 was Terry Knight, Bob Wagner, Mary Beach, Bryce Dettmer and wife Linda, Steve Rice and wife JoAnn, Elaine Bretton and husband Darrell, also Jan Hesterman. Representing the class of 1966 was Jerry Knight and wife Vickie, Lee Johnson and wife Donna, Mary Lou Latten and husband Bill, Brenda Grauerholz, Mary Arment and husband Gary, Franc Wagner and Dave, Jon Linda Ferguson, Glenda Calligan, Linda Rice and husband Sam, and Randy Waite and wife Dianne. Also stopping in to visit was Gary Norden(class of 1970). After a delicious meal prepared by Terry and Jerry, lots of reminiscing(sp) took place!!

Kensington Library
Announcing special hours for Monday of next week. Rather than the normal 2-7pm, we will be open from 9am-2pm Monday, June 13. This will mean we are open 9am-2pm Monday through Saturday and we do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Also, a reminder that we do close for holidays, such as the 4th of July.
Summer Library Programs started up this week, and we have been anticipating the “Oceans of Possibilities.” Preschool to 1st grade ages are welcome to come join us Tuesdays at 10am, while the 2nd grade and older come on Thursdays at 10am. We plan age appropriate crafts, stories and activities for children.
Kensington Pool Offers Swimming Lessons
You can sign your children up for swimming lessons using the google doc form found on the pool’s facebook page or by contacting Anne Abbott, Pool Manager, at 785-476-2277 (pool) or 785-476-8880 (Anne’s cell).

Also, the Stingray Swim Team has started practices. Practices start at 11:15am Monday, Wednesday, Fridays. June 11th will be a meet at Phillipsburg, we will host June 18th in Kensington, then go to Stockton June 25th. Qualifiers are July 9th and Championships July 16th. If your children would like to join, it’s not too late to sign up!
City-wide Garage Sales
The Kensington Commercial-Community Club will be sponsoring the City-Wide Garage Sales in Kensington this Saturday, June 11, 2022.
Monday Wing Night
Starting in June, join us for wings on Monday nights at the American Legion in Kensington. Serving only wings and fries with nightly beer bucket specials from 7-9pm. Located at 114 S. Main St., Kensington. Come join us for some wonderful food and great fun!
