School Starting Soon!

The 2023-2024 school year will soon be underway. Thunder Ridge teachers report Monday, August 14, and students will arrive for class on Thursday, August 17. The full calendar and school supply list can be found at www.usd110.net.

Kensington Library News

Currently going on at the library, we have a used book sale. Come fill up a bag or a box of gently used and deleted library books. Be sure to mark your calendars for Monday evening, August 7, from 6 to 7 PM will be our annual ice cream social event. This will also be the last day of the Used Book Sale, so plan to join us for homemade ice cream and get some books.

Smith Co. Fair Results

The theme this year was “Deck the Stalls” like a Christmas in July! The kids all worked hard on their projects and enjoy the opportunity to show and share them with the community.

Swim Team at Finals

The Stingray Swim Team had members qualify for the Championship meet held in Oxford, NE on July 15, 2023.

Katie Ledecky said it best when she said “It's always great to see young swimmers and their excitement and the joy that they have in the water.” Our Kensington Stingrays demonstrated their passion and commitment at their Championship Meet. Only the top twelve in the league got to swim today in Oxford and our group represented well! Some may not have had their best day but they were there and they gave it their all! Can’t wait to see what they accomplish next season.

Way to turn and burn Lexi Rust, KensLy Blank, Zoey Hadley, Adam Abbott, Ali Hadley, Justin Abbott, Anne Abbott and Amy Abbott. Not many could do what you do!

Legion this Friday

This week at the Kensington American Legion we will feature the hot beef sandwich. You can get a whole or half and it comes with strawberry rhubarb dump cake. We will have our regular menu items as well and our kitchen is open from 6-8pm and you can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up. Hope to see you Friday evening!
