Celebrating 50 Years The United Church of Kensington is planning their 50th celebration of the uniting of the Methodist and Disciples of Christ churches. We will be celebrating on September 1, 2019 @ 10:25 am, at the United Church of Kensington, Kensington, KS. We encourage all to plan to attend, and would love to hear from former members. If you want to participate in the program please contact Pastor Emily Blank @ unitedchurch@ruraltel.net. Mat Makers Mat makers met three times in the month of June. We tried different times and days of the week to help accommodate different schedules. We met June 11, 2-5pm and had 9 people and got 2 mats brought in. Then we met June and 27, from 2-5pm and had 11 people and made lots of plarn while others crocheted, and we also met the 29th, from 9-12. Four people met to make plarn and enjoyed the morning. In July, we will meet twice, trying to work around everyone’s busy schedule and harvest. We will meet July 11, from 9 to noon and also July 30 from 5-7:30pm. I hope this allows several people to participate in one or both times. If you haven’t joined us before, please consider coming when you can. It is simply a fun time, and I know you’ll enjoy yourself! We’re quite a fun group!! We meet at St. John Lutheran Church. If you have any questions, call Robin Billings.
