Thunder Ridge Back to School Bash

Last Sunday was TR’s annual back to school fundraiser. The Steering Committee organizes this event and the students serve the meal.  155 community members were served a delicious meal of pulled pork, party potatoes, and green beans. The meal was a huge success and raised money that will be spent on projects benefiting all students K-12. 

Sponsorships were also sold. Sponsorships are $25 and sponsors will be listed on the sports programs as a thank you. All money will go to the Steering Committee who then provide resources for the TR student body.  

Football players served the meal. 

All volleyball girls, including Lexi Rust and Jasmine Ferguson, helped with serving desserts. 

Light it Up TR!

This week, T K Electric of Osborne worked on installing additional LED lights to finish the light replacement project at the Kensington Football and Baseball fields.  Most of the money for these lights has come from grants from: The Rathert Foundation, Smith County Community Foundation, and The Home Foundation.  The balance came from West Smith County Recreation Commission Capital Outlay Funds.  No USD 110 funds were used for these lights.  Grant money was also used for scoreboard replacements in the gym and the football field.  These grants are very important for funding community/school projects and are made possible with the continued support of people working to support community improvements.  -Don Wiens, Rec Commission Secretary-Treasurer

Grauerholz Reunion 

The Henry and Anna Grauerholz family reunion will be held Sunday, September 1st, at 12:30 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church parish hall. Please join us!
