Join Us for Mat Makers

Mat makers will meet Saturday, September 12, from 9-noon, at St. John Lutheran Church. There are nine mats ready for delivery to Phillipsburg’s Orphan Grain Train and we are sure to have more after we meet. Please consider stopping by to help! Everyone is welcome! We need hands to flatten bags, cut bags, tie strips together, and to crochet. It’s a very worthy, fun project!

Please recycle your plastic bags for now because we have plenty. We had a basement full of bags when we started and have been keeping up with new donations, but we need to continue to work on the ones we have in the basement. Thank you to everyone who has donated bags. We’ll let you know when we need more donations. Thanks!

Kensington Library News

Thunder Ridge Schools are back in session, so we have returned to our regular hours of operation. We are now open Mondays from 8:00am to 7:00pm; Tuesday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm; and Saturdays will remain 9:00am to 2:00pm. We do ask that community patrons wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer provided. All students, teachers, and staff must wear masks when we cannot social distance, so please be considerate and wear a mask when entering the library during school hours.

The Kensington Community/School Library board meetings are normally held the first Monday of each month at 6:30pm and all meetings are open to the public. However, with Labor Day falling on the first Monday, our September meeting will be held on the 14th. If you would like to attend, please notify the librarian so that we can add you to our agenda.
