HOME Foundation Grant Update

Thanks to all the applicants for the fall grant cycle. We had 9 applications, and were able to fund 4 of the requests. Congratulations to the American Legion Auxiliary, Kensington Housing Authority, Kensington Commercial Club, and Kensington Community Library.

The Home Foundation was able to fund $3,500 of grants in 2021 bringing the total to nearly $18,000 since 2015. Thanks to the donations to our endowment we can now fund $4,000 of annual grants in perpetuity. Every year we have many worthy applications that we are unable to fund. Please consider a donation to the Home Foundation as we strive to increase our endowed funds to $250,000 which will enable us to give $10,000 a year in grants.

If you have any questions please contact sponsor Kathi Boden or Robin Billings.

The KAYS handed out pink ribbons and collected donations to give to breast cancer research at the October 8th football game against Osborne. Thank you to all who donated to this worthy cause!

TRES Had a Fun Friday!

The elementary students went to visit the firehouse last Friday, October 15, for fire prevention week. Fire chief Bruce Hardacre talked to the students about fire safety and how to prevent fires. He also gave the kids a fire safety calendar and water bottle.

Later the same afternoon the kids got to enjoy cookies and autographs with the TRHS Longhorn Athletes. Afterward, they attended the pep rally to get pumped up for the home football game.
