TR Math Relays Results

On Thursday, November 13, 2025 the following students represented Thunder Ridge High School at Fort Hays State University Math Relays.  This was the 46th running of the relays.  There were forty-nine (49) schools and 650 registered participants.

Thunder Ridge representatives from our senior class were:  Michael Ferguson, Collien Knuppe, Olivia Runnion, and Evan Slavik.  Our junior class representatives were:  Jasmine Ferguson, Brillon McDowell, Hannah Nelson, Tristan Taylor, and Leanka van der Linden.  Thunder Ridge representatives from our sophomore class were:  Tate Foreman, Addison Molzahn, and Lexi Rust.  Our freshmen class representatives were:  Emma Dixon, Daniel Ferguson, and Gideon Nelson.

We departed from the front of Thunder Ridge High School at seven in the morning.  Upon arriving at the Memorial Union we disembarked and proceeded to the Pioneer Room.  The scan cards were handed out and there was a dash to Starbucks.  Mrs. McDowell and Mrs. T. sent encouragement and students began to compete.  After the relays we proceeded to the food court and had lunch.  Then Michael led us through the campus to the fountain.  As we walked to the bus, Milt drove to meet us and we headed back to TRHS.  It was a pleasure to travel with these outstanding students.  We are so very appreciative of our bus driver, Milton Detwiler.

Here are the results of the students' hard work.

Soles4Souls Project

The Thunder Ridge KAY is doing a clothing and shoe drive again this year. This is their world service project through Souls4Souls. They will be collecting gently used clothing and shoes through December 5. Drop off boxes are at all the local churches, all three school buildings, and the community store.

This organization uses the donated items to provide inventory to people in impoverished countries. This allows individuals to create a business that can provide an income for them, which will intern better their lives long-term.

All items will be shipped free of charge two souls for souls. Last year, the KAY group shipped off an entire pick up bed full of items. Please donate items if you can! The students enjoy helping people in their school, community, country, and world!
