News for 4/24/24
On Sunday afternoon April 21, 2024, the Kensington Lions Club, along with help from the Thunder Ridge Kay Club, conducted their semi-annual highway cleanup. Under the direction of Lion Galen Larsen, 16 lions and 6 Kay members picked up trash two miles east and west of Kensington.
On average, over the last several years, around 25 bags of trash is collected both in the spring and fall. Both the Lions Club and Kay Club encourage the general public not to litter our highways.
The Lions Club furnished water and snacks to the workers.

Book Fair @ Kensington Library
Our springtime book fair is here! This is an opportunity for parents and grandparents to purchase books for your children to keep reading throughout the summer break. Don’t let them suffer from that summer slide. Come check out the wonderful PaperPie Learning books and more next week! Open for sales NOW through Monday, April 29. Hours include: Wed./Thur./Fri. 8am-4:30pm, Sat. 9am-2pm and Mon. (4/29) 8am-7pm. *Stop in for great gifts and learning tools!
Legion Friday Night
This week at the Kensington American Legion the special will be BLT’s served with a side and dessert. We will have our regular menu items as well and our kitchen is open from 6-8pm. You can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up. Hope to see you Friday!
