Lions Deliver Cheer Each December, the Kensington Lions deliver bags with FFA fruit and homemade cookies to those in the community who need some extra cheer. This year 47 bags were packed and delivered. It’s an annual project the club has done for many, many years. The delicious fruit and cookies are always appreciated by those who receive a cheer bag. TR Elementary Kids Show Kindness Thunder Ridge Elementary students made Christmas ornaments for the residents of Smith Center Health and Rehab. Each month the students learn about a different character trait. This month was kindness so they decided to show kindness to those who needed a bit of cheer this Christmas. 45 ornaments were made and delivered to the residents to brighten their Christmas trees. Thunder Ridge School News It was announced Tuesday, December 8, the KSHSAA Board of Directors voted to allow 2 parents/guardians per participant(s) family beginning December 10 through January 28, 2021. All TR student athletes, middle and high school, have been given 2 passes/tickets to be shown for entrance and kept for use each week at all games. The passes are for parents/guardians only. 2nd Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Event The City of Kensington enjoyed a wonderful evening Sunday, November 29, with the Old Fashioned Christmas and lighting ceremony. Members of the Kensington Commercial/Community Club are appreciated for all of their hard work in making this a memorable event.
