Pettijohn & Boden Celebrated Big Win

Representing Thunder Ridge as members of the Waconda Lakers has kept Layne Pettijohn and Jaden Boden busy this summer.  The Lakers summer high school basketball team has players from Beloit, Wilson, Blue Valley, Herington, and Thunder Ridge.  The team is coached by Todd Clover, who claimed his 500th victory with the Lakers win at the Wichita Summer Shootout earlier this month. This 500th win was the championship game played against the Dream Team. Early in the game, the Lakers were down 16-4 but fought hard for a comeback. On the last possession, Jaden Boden received the ball to shoot it in for the game winner with only a few seconds left on the clock for a 42-39 Lakers victory. Congrats to Coach Clover and the Waconda Lakers on their Championship win. Way to represent Layne and Jaden!
