COWABUNGA!!!

The Busy Bees 4-H Club had a great time at the Smith County Free Fair, July 19-23. Many fun activities were provided for the youth in between showing and judging of projects.

School Shopping

School will be starting soon, Thursday the 16th of August to be exact. Supply lists were mailed out to all student addresses and can also be found on the Thunder Ridge Schools website: www.usd110.net OR can also be viewed and downloaded on the city website, kensingtonks.net. If you no longer have school age children, please consider purchasing supplies to donate to our schools. There is always a need for Kleenex, pencils, and sanitizing wipes. School supplies can be dropped off at any of the school offices or at the Kensington Community/School Library. Your donations would be greatly appreciated.

Library Ice Cream Social

The annual Ice Cream Social at the Kensington Community/School Library is scheduled for Monday, July 30 from 6:30-8:00pm. The deleted & used books for will out for sale through Aug. 3rd. Please feel free to donate books, especially outgrown children’s books, for this book sale. Deliver your donations to the library so they can be added to our sale tables. Come join us for homemade ice cream and good company Monday evening, July 30th from 6:30-8:00pm.

American Legion

Friday Night Menu, July 20th, serving from 6:00-8:30pm. This week at the legion we will be having lasagna, salad with your choice of dressing, and garlic bread. Our cold plate special will have a chicken salad on a croissant, coleslaw, potato salad, and watermelon. Our dessert will be an old family recipe of delicious cool strawberry /cake/ice cream we will also have our regular menu and will be more than happy to make your supper to go by calling 785-476-3204. We wanted to also say a big thank you for everyone who came out and wished Karen a happy birthday.
