KAYS Upcoming Activities
Winter Jam- Saturday, November 17th from 1:00 to 4:00pm the TRHS KAYS will be holding a Winter Jam for all children, ages preschool through 6th grade, located in the TRHS gym. Cost is $15 per child. Contact Kathi Boden, Robin Billings, Raegan Boden, or Libby Hardacre to register by Thursday, Nov. 15th.
Blood Drive 11-26-18- The KAYS will be holding a Blood Drive on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Please call the HS office to sign up at 785-476-2217.
Pettijohn Signs on at KWU
Friday, November 9th, Layne Pettijohn signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Kansas Wesleyan University. Layne is the daughter of Darrell and Tammy Pettijohn. Congratulations Layne! Best of luck in your future endeavors.
FHSU Math Relay Results
The following students volunteered to represent Thunder Ridge High School at the 40th Annual Math Relays at Fort Hays State University on November 8, 2018.
Destiny Shook, Leah Bienhoff, Brice Hendryx, Britt Bauman, Landon Gering, Mary Jo Shook, Mya Hoersdig, Mark Ferguson, Jonathan Ferguson, Cameron Hendryx, Olin Brown, Paul Ferguson, and Mariana Escobar Orellana
With calculators in hand and a hearty attitude they entered the Memorial Union. There were forty-five (45) schools represented with a total of five hundred eighty-nine participants (589). In the event of Algebraic Manipulations the Freshman Team of Mariana Escobar Orellana and Cameron Hendryx earned 9th place and for the Algebraic Manipulations Individual Freshman, Paul Ferguson won a 9th place as well.
In the Applications of Algebra, Arithmetic event, our senior team of Landon Gering, Brice Hendryx, and Destiny Shook earned first place medals.

American Legion Menu
Friday Night Special, November 16, serving from 6:00-8:30pm.
This week at the Kensington American Legion we will be having French onion chicken casserole, garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes, and bourbon glazed carrots. Our soup special will be beefy noodle with a roast beef salad sandwich. Our dessert for the evening will be a no bake chocolate cherry cheesecake parfait. Please call if we can set up tables for you and your friends or to make your supper to go at 785-476-3204. We'd like to thank everyone for coming out this past weekend as we honored our Veterans. We really appreciate everyone's support.
Condolences
Sympathies to the family of Mike Hrabe. Mr. Hrabe, age 73, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Smith County Memorial Hospital.
