Medium Rare -Thunder Ridge High School will be having their High School Play Saturday, February 16 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, February 17 at 5:00 pm at the TR Middle School Auditorium in Agra. This year they will perform “Medium Rare” by Steve Hogue, produced by Pioneer Drama Service.

Play synopsis: Here’s an uproarious farce about a very special problem encountered by new homeowners. Harry and Bunny Polk get more than they bargain for when they move into their house: Grandma Nina, a demanding and nerve-racking old lady, has decided to stay in the house after the rest of her family sells it and moves away! The fun begins at dinner that night, when Grandma orders a medium rare burger done just the way she likes it. In the next few days, Grandma holds a meeting of her Early Birds Club at 6:00 in the morning, entertains an octogenarian friend, and almost gets Harry fired from his job. It’s a fun filled comedy you don’t want to miss.

Mat Makers Will Meet

Saturday, February, 16, from 9am-12pm, anyone who wants to help make plastic mats for the homeless can join us at St. John Lutheran Church. Different people have been at each of our three get togethers. Some simply come to learn and then take it back to their church. Some enjoy cutting bags. Others enjoy tying them into the plarn (plastic yarn), while others have learned to crochet the plarn into mats.

With the help of Norton Correctional Facility, we have a found a way to get mats to Wichita and Kansas City. We had 5 of our mats, along with their mats, taken to KC this past week. It’s exciting to see the mats get delivered and be used by those in need!! Please join us if you can for part or all of the time this coming Saturday. Contact Robin Billings if you have questions.
