The K-Town Kates met January 9, 2023 at the Kensington Community Center at 7:00 p.m. Charles and Kimberly Griffith presented the program. He is the new clinic director at the Smith County Family Practice and they now reside in Kensington. They shared stories of their life during his military career and what led them to living in rural America and gave details of what his new job entails.

Roll call was answered by 14 members giving their hope for the new year. The previous minutes were read, treasurer's report given, and food pantry report given. Georgetta reported that many generous food and monetary donations were recently received. The additional workers for the February 18th food pantry will be Deb B. and Donna J.

The February 13, 2023 meeting will be Soup and Bingo and will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center. In addition to those who volunteered to bring food, members are asked to bring 3 - $1.00 gifts for prizes for Bingo. Loretta will coordinate the details for the Spring Tea. The date will be set at the next meeting. A discussion was held regarding a new clock for the Community Center in appreciation for its use each month. Delicious apple/nut Bundt cake was served by the hostesses JoLinn and Deb B.
