October is 4-H Month!

“Inspire Kids to Do!” is the theme for 2019. The Busy Bees 4-H Club would like to share that online enrollment for the new 4-H year opened October 1st. We welcome new members to join! Visit www.4Honline.com and select our state to get started.  4-H Youth Development programs are open to all youth who are residents of Kansas and between the ages of 7 and 18.


Join Us!

Fourteen members of the Kensington Senior-Community Center gathered for a delicious potluck and games at KSCC on Tuesday evening, September 24th.It was our first monthly potluck. There was plenty of food and desserts. 

Our next potluck is planned for October 31st, Halloween night. We are hoping more people will join us for a good meal, games, and handing out candy. There will be more information later in the month. 

Come join us at the Center for activities all month. Schedules available at the Center. All are welcome.


TR Students to Bethany College



Thunder Ridge High School music students had a great day at the Bethany College honor choir audition workshop on Thursday, September 26. Music Instructor Annie Adams took 6 of her talented students for this all day event. Pictured left to right: Mrs. Adams, Trinity Coomes, Remi Martin, Alexis Holling, Jacob Barnes, Caleb Dodds, and Leland McGuire. It was a day with great clinicians and great music!

Henry James Broeckelman, newest son of Chris and Megan.

Birth Announcement

Chris and Megan (Bienhoff) Broeckelman of Natoma, Kansas, announce the birth of their son, Henry James Broeckelman, born on August 29, 2019, at Rooks County Health Center. Henry weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. Henry is welcomed home by his siblings, Kayden, Gabriel, Eli, Claire and Sophia. Henry is the grandson of Joel and Connie Bienhoff of Kensington, Kansas and Joe and Cathy Broeckelman of Selden, Kansas and the great-grandson of Gerald and Arvilla Juenemann of Selden, Kansas.
